José Fabio Oconitrillo Tenorio. 1971. Founding Partner of JURISIS since 2000. He practices as an attorney, notary public, and mediator/conciliator.

Admitted to the Bar Association of Costa Rica since September 9, 1994.

Licenciado of Law since 1992; Notary Public since 1994 from Universidad Autónoma de Centro América, Escuela Libre de Derecho. Specialist of criminal Law from Universidad de Costa Rica since 1998.

Experience: Since 1997 he has participated in criminal and civil lawsuits related to corporate, financial, tax, environmental, real estate crimes, crimes against reputation, and traffic accidents (life and health).

From May 1993 to July 1994, he worked at the Legal Counsel Department of the National Securities Commission of Banco Central de Costa Rica.

From 1994 to 1996 he was assistant to the Minister of Public Safety and legal consultant of the Police Force in the Ministry of Public Safety, the Interior and Police of Costa Rica, in charge of the legal aspects of the operations against criminality in the capital city.

From 1996 to 1997 he served as consultant to the Office of the Ministry of Justice in the fight against registry frauds and corruption.

From January 2000 to January 2002 he was the Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Bar Association of Costa Rica.

From January 2002 to date he has been a Professor of General Criminal Law at Universidad Escuela Libre de Derecho.

He has participated as a lecturer in different congresses and seminars in this country and in Colombia, the United States, and El Salvador; and he has published numerous articles in specialized magazines.
