Every great firm begins with a vision and a dream marking its destiny. As a pioneer and maker of this dream, in 1979, upon starting his career as a lawyer, Juan Diego Castro put his plan into action to create a law firm where the Costa Rican legal profession could find a model characterized by legal services with a very high ethical and technical level. It is right there where the scale and the level of the new juridical style begin to forge within the national forum, combining the theoretical study of the law, the doctrine and the jurisprudence with the rigorous, innovating practice and juridical criticism.
In the early eighties, we were the first ones to incorporate computing tools to daily litigation work, and we advised about the impact that computer science would have on the practice of law. In 1984, we organized the first academic meeting on cybernetics in juridical sciences, and since then, we have been immersed in an ongoing application of new technologies to our professional activities.
A systemic understanding and passion for Law and Justice led us to design an organizational concept that reaches its most refined synthesis in our trademark: JURISIS… Justice, lawfulness, system. A seal represented by the scale and the level, symbols of our moral principles and technical quality standards that lead the practice of a team of professionals who are committed to and passionate about the practice of law conceived within juridical and social responsibility and, who are prepared to fight for the causes of or clients.
The staff at JURISIS has gained extensive experience in successful attention of complex lawsuits in the criminal and civil jurisdiction, especially in corporate frauds and conflicts; this has allowed our lawyers to develop excellent skills in court strategies and in-trial oratory.
The dream that started three decades ago has become true in the form of a partnership of jurists, of men and women engaged in the search for solutions for our clients’ conflicts, serving as certified mediators and trial attorneys in the different fields of the Science of Law.
